Dr. Waqar Ahmed is the Professor & Dean of Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, UIT University, Karachi, Pakistan. Before UIT University, he has been worked for ten years at Iqra University's Gulshan Campus. His focus on supply chain management is underscored by more than 20 years of professional engagement across a spectrum of local and multinational enterprises. Dr. Ahmed's professional journey includes pivotal roles at renowned organizations such as DHL Pakistan, General Tyres Pakistan, Feroze Textile, and ICI Pakistan. Dr. Ahmed holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from Iqra University, complemented by a Bachelor's in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from NED University and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Karachi. His research contributions span critical areas such as supply chain risk management, sustainable supply chain strategies, and the integration of disruptive technologies and innovation within supply chains. He has completed his bachelor's in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from NED University and a Master's in business administration from the University of Karachi.
